Hunter (1984)

Hunter, an engaging police drama from Frank Lupo, aired on NBC from 1984 to 1991, featuring Fred Dryer as the tough, unconventional Sgt. Rick Hunter and Stepfanie Kramer as his partner, Sgt. Dee Dee McCall. After six seasons, Kramer departed to explore other artistic ventures, leading to Hunter teaming up with two new female officers in the seventh season. As a skilled homicide detective with the LAPD, Hunter often used his physical presence and willingness to bend the rules to tackle crime, frequently resulting in deadly confrontations with suspects. Stephen J. Cannell served as the executive producer during its debut season.
