Jamaica Inn (2014)

Set against the stark, windswept Cornish moors in 1820, the story centers on the youthful and determined Mary, who, after her mother's death, is sent to live with her Aunt Patience. Upon arriving at the desolate Jamaica Inn, Mary is shocked to find her once-vibrant aunt reduced to a shadow of her former self, controlled by the oppressive Joss, her husband. The inn appears deserted, with locked rooms meant for storage, but it quickly becomes evident that it serves as a front for Joss's smuggling operations, turning Jamaica Inn into the epicenter of his illicit trade.
