Joe Anderson
Joe Anderson hails from East Lansing, Michigan, where he honed his craft at Western Michigan University's esteemed theatre program. An accomplished director, writer, and comedian, Anderson has made a name for himself in the performing arts. He spent two years touring with the renowned Second City improv comedy troupe, honing his skills in the world of improvisational comedy.
In addition to his work with Second City, Anderson is a co-founder of the esteemed sketch comedy ensemble "The Don't We Boys!" His play, "Shoot Faster, Dear Brother, I'm Dying!" garnered significant acclaim, with Lawrence Bommer from the Chicago Reader and ChicagoTheatreBlog.com praising it as "a remarkable feat - worthy of Mark Twain" and noting its "two hours of pitch-perfect parody."
In 2013, Anderson co-wrote and starred in the paranormal comedy "America's Most Haunted," which was distributed by Echo Bridge Entertainment and received accolades for being "scarier than Ghostbusters and funnier than Poltergeist." The following year, he took on the dual roles of co-writer and director for "Pilot Error," a drama inspired by a true aviation tragedy.
Back in Michigan, Anderson collaborates with various film and commercial entities on a range of projects. He also serves as a board member at the all-volunteer, non-profit Dog Story Theater, where he has played a vital role in producing nearly 100 improv and sketch comedy performances.
